Songbird Live! presents Winter Solstice Orchestra
A Christmas Tradition
Invite your entire family or church family to Cleburne's Christmas Tradition - Songbird Live Theatre's presentation of Winter Solstice. A professional orchestra will present the "freshest" arrangements of some of the best-loved songs of Christmas that you will hear all season. The evening also features two beautiful original compositions.Composed specially for the Songbird LIve Theatre by master composer and arranger Rob Vuono, the 80-minute presentation features clever arrangements of familiar songs made fresh by an artful use of styles and grooves. Weaved into this tapestry is a collection of beautiful melodies from cherished selections of the classical literature.
Recently retired from his position as the staff arranger of the U.S. Navy Band in Washington, DC. Vouno has perfected his arranging craft through special compositions for each of the Navy's premier performance groups based in Washington, DC, The National Symphony even performed an evening Rob Vuono's arrangements.
Last year's debut performance of Winter Solstice was a sold-out success. This year, orchestra leader Tom Burkett will direct 15 of the area's top professional musicians in three performances of Winter Solstice.
